The training for the Junior division (grade 4 to 6) will be held on Friday, March 29 at first nutrition break. Training for the Intermediate students will be held next week at a later date and time (TBA).

Every year on the 22nd of March, World Water Day is celebrated to focus on the importance of water and the need to preserve it. Clean water is fundamental for all life.

Students and teachers are invited to add a class or personal water goal to the GIANT water drop between rooms 203 and 204.

Refugees & Human Rights Child & Youth Poetry Contest

Are you a student in Grades 4 to 12? COSTI Immigrant Services invites you to write a poem on the theme of “Refugees and Human Rights.” The province-wide contest is free to enter.

 There are exciting prizes to be won including an iPad 6th Generation, Bose SoundLink Around-Ear Wireless Headphones II and a Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth Speaker II! 

Your poem could even be read at an award ceremony on World Refugee Day on June 20th!

Thursday March 21st, 2019 is World Down Syndrome Day!


What is Down Syndrome?
Down syndrome is something babies are born with. It affects the building blocks in their body.
These building blocks are called chromosomes. Chromosomes contain information about us that make us all unique.  People with Down’s Syndrome have an chromosome in their body which can cause issues with their developmental.

To bring awareness to Down Syndrome and to recognize this day we are asking all staff and students to wear bright and/or mismatched socks!!

Why do we wear bright and mismatched socks for World Down Syndrome Day?
Mismatched socks were chosen as a symbol for WDSD because chromosomes are shaped like socks, and those with Down Syndrome have an extra one.

Our very own Echoes Choir and Latin Eagle Dancers will be performing at the Brampton Beast Hockey Game on Saturday, March 23rd at 7:15pm at the CAA Centre (former PowerAde Centre) at 7575 Kennedy Rd in Brampton.
We would love to see our Eldorado families come out and enjoy a hockey game, and cheer us on as we sing the anthem and dance in the aisles during breaks in the game.
