This week is Bullying Awareness and
Prevention Week in Peel.
What do you do when you hear an inappropriate joke having to do with someone’s
identity?
We all love to joke around with our friends, but sometimes people go too far, they start joking about somebody’s body, their culture, their religion, their sexuality or their skin color.

Will you stand up when you hear someone making
a joke that is hurtful? Will you look out for someone who needs a friend? Will
you find a way to make someone feel better, and intervene if you see or hear
someone making somebody feel worse?
We all have choices. We can choose to
laugh. We can choose to look away. Or we can choose action. Refuse to stay silent and use your voice to
help others!
To be an Ally is a verb! Allyship needs to be earned. How will YOU
#chooseACTION to be an ally!
